Blooming

:)

Ok, so April hasn’t quite shaped up the way I’d hoped, but I’m determined to close it out on a positive note. And seeing my gardens staring to bloom is helping to put me in the right frame of mind to get things back onto the right track.

And today’s looking like a fantastically superb day to spend outside… perfect for me to do some brainstorming and work on figuring out a few embroidery stitches that I’ve been struggling with. And spending time with Maddy playing soccer and checking out the gardens.

Before I head outside to soak up some sun and enjoy the day, a few little tidbits to share:

  • I wrote a guest post over at rock + purl about colour. I’ll admit it was hard to write – I went through a few drafts before settling on just writing what I felt, not what I expected others to like. And be sure to check out the other posts in the Blogstars 2012 category for a great selection of posts written by some fantastically talented folks.
  • Speaking of fantastically talented, Jessika from Oh My! Handmade Goodness has put together what is probably the most amazing business guide around. The Guide to Businessy Goodness is a wonderful resource for any businessperson – no matter what you do, it will inspire and push you to do more than you thought was possible (in a very good way!). And it’s ‘name your price’, so you can pick it up for what you think it’s worth and not break the bank :) Get it today and you won’t regret it, I promise.
  • And for this week only, when you sign up for my newsletter – which I’m almost finished revamping and should have a new email going out soon – you’ll receive a super-exclusive coupon code to save on any purchase from my Etsy shop. So sign up today & pick up a nifty little gift for Mother’s Day. Or even for yourself :)

It’s going to be a good day. The only thing keeping it from being one is the choices we make. And today, I’m making good ones :)
